Artist's Description
This doorway is based on a modern castle I saw in Colorado. The owner calls it Bishop's Castle, and it has been built bit by bit over several years. In this building, you can climb to dizzying heights. There are several odds and ends that make the place unique. In the front of the building, high above the ground, a dragon head juts into the air. Even higher, are the "cages," where you can stand and look at the surrounding countryside. Those are at the dizzying heights that I mentioned.

I love the rocks and stones that make up this palace. As a child, I would have gone crazy over this fairy tale castle. Even as an adult, I was fascinated by it. I did have to be very careful, because when we visited, the castle was still being built. I got the feeling that the builder was planning to continue working on this interesting architecture for as long as he could.
